Service Description

Please contact us for next years dates. An intensive one day training course delivered by the extremely knowledgeable and well known Art Historian Pandora Mather-Lees. This a fantastic opportunity for any Interior Crew Member, First Officer looking at moving up or indeed Captains that want to learn more. Covering all the risks you can encounter with fine art, design and luxury items coming onboard, resting onboard & leaving the vessel. This is a truly unique course that will broaden your knowledge and you will leave the course with the confidence to deal with different types of art onboard a Superyacht in the correct way. The day includes the following: -Introduction: Purpose and goals -The value of Art and Superyacht Art Owner as Art Collector -Characteristics of Art On Board -Responsibilities of Art with crew members at different levels of hierarchy -Caring of Art On Board: placement of art/preservation/agents of deterioration/conservation cleaning and climate risks -Logistics:Packing/Handling/Shipping/Export/Compliance/Logistics role play & Test -Downtime: Stowage/storage & destination risks & considerations -Security and confidentiality-What not to do -Insurance of works of Art To finish the day there will be a Champagne reception and a chance to Talk with Pandora and ask any questions. Cancellation Policy

When you book your place on the course, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other students. In order to be respectful of your fellow students, please email APL as soon as you know you will not be able to attend the course. Cancellations made 60 days or more in advance of the course date will receive a 96% refund(4%booking fee). Cancellations made within 30 days will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours will not receive a refund. To reschedule please contact us at least two weeks in advance of booking, if a replacement delegate is made then no cost incur will apply, transfers can only transfer once. For payment plans, the first payment reserves your place on the course, this is non refundable.
