Service Description

This is for beginner steward/esses where you will find that most of your duties are making beds, cleaning all areas of the interior of the boat and LOTS of laundry. Making mistakes in this area should not be done on guests laundry. Learn ahead of time with tips and tricks to guide you on your journey. This online course with be following online tutorials and reading PDF's, face to face video calls with myself to explain why it's important to learn the right way and to answer any questions you might have. On this course you will cover: -How to make a bed as well as providing a turn down service -How to hand wash fine care garments -How to read laundry care symbols -The best products to use for stain treating -The best techniques for ironing -The use of the correct cleaning products on surfaces commonly found on Yachts. Equipment needed for the course: Iron and Ironing board Water spray bottle A bed and bed linen including a flat sheet A large towel White Vinegar Bicarbonate of Soda Washing detergent Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss course requirement equipment further.

Cancellation Policy

When you book your place on the course, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other students. In order to be respectful of your fellow students, please email APL as soon as you know you will not be able to attend the course. Cancellations made 60 days or more in advance of the course date will receive a 96% refund(4%booking fee). Cancellations made within 30 days will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours will not receive a refund. To reschedule please contact us at least two weeks in advance of booking, if a replacement delegate is made then no cost incur will apply, transfers can only transfer once. For payment plans, the first payment reserves your place on the course, this is non refundable.
