Service Description

This three-day course which incorporates only ONE day practical face to face training in East Devon and the rest online by self study and online live videos where students can ask questions and gain valuable feedback. It is designed for people who know they want to get a job on yachts and stay a while. The Interior Training course shows your commitment to the industry and it will inspire you to be the best at your job. With written and practical tests throughout you will leave this course ready for the high seas. Course syllabus: • Overview of job description • Department heads and management • High level of service skills • Wine knowledge • Housekeeping & laundry • Barista training • Cocktail making • Attention to detail and the art of being tidy • Problem solving and trouble shooting • How to stow a boat to go to sea • Communication and teamwork • Brand awareness (know how to spot and care for valuable items) • Wardrobe management • Life as a crew member • Written and practical tests • Feedback and advice for the future, mock interview and help with CV. Fri 9am-4pm. There will be a series of online courses to access in your own time as well as conveniently scheduled, students will need to complete self study before the Friday face to face training session on Friday 8th. There are aspects of the course such as CV preparation that can worked on after the course with ongoing help and support. Please note for students to take part in certain modules there will be some cost implications, such as cocktail making and wine knowledge will require you to provide your own supplies. Cancellation Policy

When you book your place on the course, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other students. In order to be respectful of your fellow students, please email APL as soon as you know you will not be able to attend the course. Cancellations made 60 days or more in advance of the course date will receive a 96% refund(4%booking fee). Cancellations made within 30 days will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours will not receive a refund. To reschedule please contact us at least two weeks in advance of booking, if a replacement delegate is made then no cost incur will apply, transfers can only transfer once. For payment plans, the first payment reserves your place on the course, this is non refundable.
